Wallowing in pop culture and tv and internet hell can catch up to you after a while. I took a short break and put together this slow-cooked remix of This is My Railroad (Part I) from the Prelinger Archives. The music is “Dungtitled (in A Major)” by Stars of the Lid. The style takes me back to the days of doing live performances with an array of 16mm projectors and film loops, making dissolves by slowly opening my hand in front of the projector’s beam.
In the next few weeks I’ll start digging through my own 16mm archive, making video transfers, and seeing what shape future projects based on this archive will take.
